  6. Find the location of the backup PST file; click OK; click OK.
  7. Click Set as Default.
  8. Click OK when you receive the message ‘You have changed the default deliver location for your e-mail. This will change the location of your Inbox, Calendar, and other folders. These changes will take effect the next time you start Outlook.’
  9. Now, click the corrupt or damaged PST file; click Remove.
  10. Click Yes; click Close; click OK.
  11. Click Exit on the File menu.
  12. Now, restart Outlook.

Note: Now, you can delete the corrupt or damaged PST file.
